    User ID's

We merged one forum from another, one user was user number 11 on the new forum, and #27xx on the old forum. The merge cleared his 11 and we have a bunch of userid's under 1,000 that we can use, they are empty. How can I change his user id back to #11? Thanks, Rolando

The userids are auto-incremented, and there is no function to change existing ones into unused ones. If you attempt to edit the database tables, you would have to make the appropriate changes to every field in every table that has a userid in it. It is a lot of work, and you would run a very high risk of ruining your database for good. Attempting to change the userids is not recommended.

Is there anyway to add someone to an "unused id" so they can start over?

Nope, it is the same answer as post two regardless of whether you want to use an unused userid for a new or existing member. You still would have to make the appropriate changes to the database tables, it still is a lot of work, and you still would run a very high risk of ruining your database for good. Not recommended.
