permalink?

what is the function of this button? i haven't understand this ... when i click over it only put me onto the center of the post .. someone can explain me what is the function? thx

I guess it would would be a direct link to that particular post. However its a style issue with your custom style so you would have to ask the designer what they intend for it to be used for.

Could also be an "SEO" thing though don't know why they used the word permalink. Not like it has any relevance and is a hold over from old blogs.

Permalink is added in by vBSEO. It does serve a purpose, but it is suggested by some to change the settings so that it only displays the post number, not the actual phrase "permalink". Check out the vBSEO forums for more information.
