Cookies for dummies

I have a site that is primarily ColdFusion based. I don't plan to change that.
ColdFusion can read cookies.

I want to have several sections of the site that are designed differently if the user is logged in.

What is stored in the vBulletin cookie? Where is it located?

When responding, please keep in mind the title of this post "Cookies for dummies".

OK, I found the cookie.
It has a ton of info in it.
Is there a vB guide as to what this data is posted somewhere?
