    MySQL Error : MySQL server has gone away

    since i upgrade to 3.8.1 beta 1 all are going well and soft and realy fast

    but i have just only one problem which is when i want to add a big post

    mySql just give me this error


    i tried to change the settings in the my.cnf but till now i have the error

    hope to find an answer for this .,.,,

    This is a server issue. See this: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/t...mysql_goneaway and this: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...265#post310265

    If you change the wait_timeout in my.cnf, don't forget you have to restart mysql in order for it to take effect.

      i change that to 28800 as its shows

      but when i root that "- mysqladmin -u root -p version it give me to enter the password and send me that error ?!



      mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
      error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)'

        I know I have a different username/password I have to use to access mysqladmin (I can't use root). That may be the case for you, but you will have to ask your host about that.
