    Installation Issue - Language

    So I have taken the best part of four years away from websites and message boards/forums and have decided to slowly come back with a website and a small message board and so using an old license I came back to vBulletin and am trying to use 3.8.x

    I have uploaded the files numerous times and it is starting to drive me mad - throughout the install process it gets to Step 6 (the language xml install).
    It comes up with:
    Code:
     [COLOR=#001F30][FONT=verdana][B][U]Step 6) Importing Language[/U][/B][/FONT][/COLOR]

    [B]Parse error[/B][COLOR=#001F30][FONT=verdana]: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in [/FONT][/COLOR][B]/home/xxxxx/public_html/xxxxxx/forum/includes/adminfunctions_language.php[/B][COLOR=#001F30][FONT=verdana] on line [/FONT][/COLOR][B]966[/B]
    Would be great if I could get some help to fix this issue - have re-uploaded the files numerous times etc.

    What version of 3.8.x specifically are you using and what version of PHP are you running on your server?
