    vB 3.8.7 and MySQL 5.5.27?

What versions of MySQL are officially supported with vBulletin 3.x? We're considering upgrading our MySQL versions but want to make sure that we don't fall outside of an officially-supported version.

There are no issues that we are aware of running 3.8.7 on MySQL 5.5 so you should be fine. We have other users running this combination with no problems.

There are a couple of areas that will have problems, but those are not part of the day to day running of a site.

Off the top of my head I dont remember exactly, there was a thread on it a long time ago.
I believe some of the database commands on installation / upgrade may fail due to using TYPE instead of ENGINE.
