Upgrade from 2.3.2 to 3.8.7 and then to 4.1.x

Hi I am planning an upgrade from 2.3.2 to 3.8.7 and then finaly to 4.1.
I want to make an initial test migration from 2.3.2 to 3.8.7 but i want in this test phase to keep
operational the 2.3.2 forum. I will close the forum for a couple of hours of course (for db dumb) but since this is the first time i will do that I don want to damage anything from my 2.3.2 forum.
I am planing to create a separate DB for the 3.8.7 DB. Are there anything else that i must pay attention in order not to damage anything ???

Thank you in advance for your response

    Before taking the backup:

    - close your forum
    - change the Forum URL value in AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Site Name / URL / Contact Details to the test URL and Save (*Don't close this browser window down!*)
    - take the backup
    - change the Forum URL value back to the live URL

Then restore that backup to a new database.

I've also created the following article on how to create at est site, this should help:

    Vote for:

    - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)

I believe you have to upgrade to 3.6.12 first. After that you can upgrade to 4.1.3.
