    problem with drop down

I searched but couldn't find specific to my issue, even though I don't know what to call it. I upgraded to 3.8.7 and don't have any issues really but the quick links drop down is missing some things they seem to work but don't show. How do I fix it?

It looks like you are missing some phrases. Did everything go OK during your upgrade? Have you tried reimporting the language xml?

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

i had no problems with upgrade and maybe you could tel me what to add and where. Also this is a message one of the users got when trying to mark forums read:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

What version did you upgrade from? And did you may sure to upgrade all your templates after the upgrade?

Create a new style with no parent:
        • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
        • Parent Style: No Parent Style
        • Title: Default vBulletin
        • Allow User Selection: Yes
        • Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style and have your users do so also - do you still have the same problem with the dropdown and the security token?

drop down has all options for me now, I will conduct other tests, how do I update style with missing elements? Mainly just tell me where to look. I appreciate it

You would edit the template, click View History > Compare and see what the differences are and add any needed changes to your template. You can tell which templates are modified by looking for the ones that are red in list.

For the dropdown, then I would check the navbar template. But you should check ALL your modified templates in case of other errors (like the security token error).

I don't know why this message comes up? Is it lack of code to display or is is permission?

I think I got it, I just pasted the default code into the custom theme folder, and it seems to work now, thanks

If you want the totally default code for a template, you may just click Revert Template from the Edit Templates list. But beware, you cannot undo that action, so you may want to keep a copy of your style beforehand (just export it).
