I'd like to know also. I really thought it would have been out by now. It was announced on July 29 and it's nearly 2 months later now with no word.

Is there a JIRA entry we can look at to track whats is going on with 3.8.7?
        47. Software of the kind released by XL generally takes several years to research and develop, as did vBulletin. Based, in part, on the speed in which the XenForo product was released slightly more than a year after Darby and Sullivan left VBSI, VBSI is informed and believes, and on that basis alleges, that Darby and Sullivan retained Jelsoft's and VBSI's proprietary materials obtained during their employment by Jelsoft pertaining to existing and future versions of vBulletin ...

I think they've delayed it way too long and it was expected to be a smaller release than 3.8.6.

remember that "vBulletin 3.X 3 month maintenance pack"? I bought it to be able to download and install the latest version of 3.x. and now few days left before my license will expire and yet another version - 3.8.7 will come in the future and i wont be able to download it. WTF? I have no intentions to update to 4th version. Funny that 3.8.7 will mostly fix bugs that were created in 3.8.5 and 3.8.6. I'm soso disappointed with IB politics. Gonna move in the future to more innovative, professional and modern forum software, you know what i'm talking about.

As has been posted before, we will make sure to extend any licenses purchased with the maintenance pack to ensure they have access to 3.8.7.

Steve, can you confirm if 3.8.7 will be out before the end of the year?

No I can't, but I would be awfully surprised if it weren't.
