    you need to:

    1: create a database which will give you a database name and password
    2: edit the config.php file and enter the database info into it..

            also check that the mysql server name is:

            mysql

            NOT localhost

              This is what it says when i try to install

              Step 2) Connect to the database
              Attempting to attach to database
              Connect failed: unexpected error from the database.
              Error number: 1044
              Error description: Cannot use database forums
              Please ensure that the database and server is correctly configured and try again.

              What should i put for the 'forums'???
              $config['Database']['dbname'] = 'forums';

                    You need to put the name of the database not forums. (unless thats what your database name is)
