    php4 and vBulletin 3.8.0 beta 3 question

I'm running php4 on my test server.

I've read a few posts today about compatibility problems and I'm slightly confused.

Can I upgrade to beta3 now with the stock files from the vBulletin download area?
Will I need to apply a patch before or after the upgrade process?
Or should I hold off for now?

    Thanks,
    James

Which exact version of PHP and why not upgrade to PHP 5.x?

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      It's running PHP 4.4.9

I don't want to upgrade that server to PHP 5 yet because another site I have on there has software that doesn't run correctly with PHP 5.

      Thanks,
      James

3.8 will run on PHP 4.4.9 but for 4.0 and higher you will need to upgrade to PHP 5.

We have PHP 4.4.8 and MySQL version 4.1.22-standard. Would that be sufficient to run vBulletin 3.8?

          Thanks

            From the sales FAQ

What are the system requirements for vBulletin?

Minimum Requirements: vBulletin is designed to run on every server that has PHP 4.3.3 or greater and MySQL 4.0.16 or greater installed.
