    Daily cloud backup

Does the cloud back up daily at the same time? We have been noticing a site slow down @ approx 9:30 pm pst daily. Could this be due to the backup process?

It happened again today at about the same time. Would this be linked to the server back up? If so is there a way to correct it?

Can anyone answer why the site slows everyday around 9 PM pst? I'm thinking that is the time of the daily back up but i'm only guessing. It seems to happen like clockwork every day

It isn't caused by the database backup. The slow down is caused by other systems in the datacenter. We've been investigating it for a while and are working to resolve the issue. We hope to have it resolved soon.

          Hey Wayne thanks
It's good to know that they are at least aware of it and working towards a fix.

Is there any headway in finding this issue? It’ still occurs daily at the same time, and we get many complaints mainly from the PST crowd where it's about 9pm.

I will ask after the holiday. It is caused by something outside the Cloud system and I don't have contact with the team in charge of the datacenter.

It's pretty severe and an unacceptable server issue. I'll be awaiting your update. Now and then I'm up late to experience it for that hour or so. It hits other members that are in a different time slot right at prime time. I am very surprised that I have not read about this issue on the board.
            Thanks and Happy New Year

That's around 5am here so probably why we are not affected, most members still in bed!

Like I said it isn't the backups. Those start at midnight PST and are staggered. It is a process outside the cloud system.

The issue has been tracked to a specific Internet Brands project within our data center. The Cloud Project Manager is working with the manager of that Project for resolution. Hopefully, a resolution will come soon.

In working to resolve this problem, there will be an upgrade to database servers across the datacenter. This will result in downtime while the work is processed. This is scheduled for 5:00 pm Pacific.
