What setting allows poster to edit his post while it is waiting for moderation.

We allow users to see their posts while they are waiting for approval by moderator but no one else can. But once they make their post, they can not edit it until it is approved.

Is there a setting that would allow posters to edit their own posts before they are approved?

In channel permissions and usergroups you have items to allow members to edit their posts. There's also some timer settings under - "Message Posting and Editing Options". Sorry also a timer setting in channel permission, heading permissions it says -

Time Limit for Editing Posts (hr)

A value of 0 means unlimited time, fractions of hours are allowed.
