My site is up and running now. Strangely there were a few messages posted a while back when I'm sure the HTTPS certificate was still not working. I guess those users ignored the message and kept going.

Mine was renewed and now falls into rotation with the rest. I think i’ll make myself an alert to remind the VB team for next year.

Haha! I'm hoping they get us an update so we know why this happened.

Got me that is very short

The 5th is a Saturday not good. Unless there is assurance that it’s automatically in que for renewal, a few reminder threads ahead of time may not hurt.

We received this response to our support ticket.

                    "Hello.

The error was down to a third party connection issue. This should now be resolved.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

                    Best regards"

Same response we got. We would like to know that there are measures in place to stop it happening again.

The certificates are currently generated for Let's Encrypt using their FREE level. That CA allows 90 day certificates. They normally get renewed in batches about a week before they expire. However a network issue prevented that this time and it is why they expired.
