It says in the technical information that we are using an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 7 October 2818 16:30:45 GMT+1. The current time is 7 October 2018, 16:43. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE"

I'm not sure how we can fix this? Is it happening for more cloud members?

I think so there is another post about it, but I've checked some other Cloud sites I know of and they seem ok.

I believe this is a vBulletin issue being we're on the cloud. They need to renew the certificate at headquarters. Mine expires on the 14th

It certainly creates an issue having this pop up out of nowhere, esp on a Sunday

It certainly does Carrfixr , we've got members frightened now. Many of ours are 65 and over, so already suspicious of the internet. I think we will lose members because of this

Yours was the first site I checked, glad you are not affected yet .

I tried to reply to a member that messaged me about it. Server abort error. Admin control panel is just blank and not responsive, can't even turn off the forum.

So I used Firefox to check the site. Added the exception on the security pop-up, then was able to get into control panel to shut off the forum.

My concern is whether it is just simply a certificate that's not been renewed or if the servers have been hacked. Making the site an exception would still leave it open to hackers I think??

I'm sure doing it that way isn't what would be recommended, we decided to go that route to though. If it's an actual hack, and they are on VB servers already, we are all doomed anyway.

I am seeing this same error.

My website is in my profile in case this isn't happening for every vBCloud forum.

Even though you've closed it I don't see the closure message, just the same not secure message. So no difference for your viewers and members.

It depends on your browser and if you add the exception. If you click the "Advanced" link on the Privacy error Page, you are given an option to proceed to the page anyway. There, you will see that the forum is off.

We still had people using the forum, but that didn't seem like a good idea to let them bypass the error and keep using it. So we shut the forum off.

OK makes sense, if they bypass but ours won't!

We had some brave ones I guess, ha. Still in there posting away, ignoring all the unsafe pop-ups.

First thing Im doing, when back up and running, is changing passwords. Im also requiring all admin and mods to change passwords as well. Cant be too safe.

Also I sent an email to support about this issue. I dont know if anyone watches email on Sundays but thought it was worth a try.
