Email Hosting using Domain name registered under VBCloud

    Good day

    1. I have used the Domain name which was offered during my VB cloud registration.

Now I would like to add [email protected](Domain registered during VB sign up).

Please let me know how I link domain name to Email hosting provider such as Gsuit/Rackspace.

    2. How to access admin email account to receive replies from user.

    Regards

We're investigating if this is currently possible with our setup.

You will have to contract with a third-party email provider. Once you have done that, you can provide us with the MX Records and we can update the DNS.

Help me understand this: If I open and account [email protected] and get the MX record (assuming I can) then you can direct mail addressed to [email protected] to come in on this outlook account?

Or do I need to create a new mail account for NEWDOMAIN with an ISP and then give you the MS record for that. Would we be able to access our forum at [email protected] or would be still access the forum with the name you registered?

You can't set MX records for free outlook.com accounts. Those are just free email acccounts provided by Microsoft.

No, you purchase a hosted email service from an email provider and they will require that you set the MX records for your domain so that they point to them. You would then tell us what those MX records are and we will set them.

I'm not sure I understand this. You don't access a forum from an email address. If you mean forum.newdomain.com, the address you use for your forum would not change because all you're doing is adding email to it via a third party provider. Because we manage your domain the MX records have to be set by us.

I made this too confusing. What I am looking for is this: vBulletin implemented the Domain NAVAvols.com for our forum. Can I have [email protected], [email protected] mail boxes etc. which I can then access form my email applications?

If not, If I open a domain account on an ISP can I then have that domain point the forum?

If so, then could I use the same domain name that current vBulletin is using for our forum?

vBulletin do not provide email services. All you need to do is purchase or acquire email services from an email provider, and tell us the mx records (which they will give you).

Doing it any other way is more complicated and won't work how you want.
