Forcing new users into new user forum

    Hello,

How do I force new users into a "New Users" forum I have created in order to approve new accounts after they have posted x number of times (without spamming)?

You could make it so that users in that usergroup can only see one single forum by denying permissions to everything else. They'd still have to click on the forum to enter it, but you could encourage this with a notice.

I thought for sure there was a feature that supported this more thoroughly. I've seen many forums do this kind of thing for new users to help prevent spamming.

It's not clear exactly what you want to do. More precise detail would help.

I've always used Usergroup Permissions and Promotions to prevent spam with a high degree of success. Rather than limiting the location of the posts I limit the ability of new members to post anything other than text content for the first ten posts. No links, no images, no attachments, nothing other than text. Any member who makes ten posts under those conditions is very probably not a spambot or human spammer.
