I would like to put a button in the navigation bar for unregistered users that takes them to the Login or Sign Up place. I find some in my group don't see it up there and sometimes the browser positions it out of sight.

Could you just put the url to the register page? - Your forum url with /register on the end will take you to the registration page. -
You can link to /auth/login-form but it won't have any of your site's branding due to the way the system was designed.

Is this a permanent registration url? or it is something temp for each visitor?
