Hi all.
Has anyone migrated to a new domain and managed to keep their google search ranking? My old domain had hundreds of pages indexed (after 5 months), and my new domain has zero indexed. My new sitemap has only 3 entries when my old sitemap had hundreds. My forum remains exactly the same for both old and new domains.
I am trying to use the Google Change of Address tool to let google know of the move, but it can't access the old domain to verify that a 301 redirect has been set up. This is probably because I activated the new domain and so the old domain was cancelled?
Do I have to begin my site from scratch with google in terms of indexing, sitemap and ranking?
