Restoring deleted users posts

I have been pruning user accounts that are inactive for two or more years.

Now someone I deleted has re-registered with the same username and of course he would like his posts back.

Any way to do that? Right now his old posts show “guest” like they should for a deleted account.

This isn't possible on Cloud, it would require database queries. Even then it's not certain to work.

Pruning accounts achieves nothing - best to leave them present and ban them, or move them into an inactive usergroup, etc.
