How to delete an album, or photos that were create as events

I know this was asked before, but I haven't found the answer.

The help says "to delete an album, go to User Settings Media". If I go there, I see picture 1. This is an album, right?
If I click on it, I see picture 2. I don't see any pencil icon or way to edit/delete anything.

Some of these pictures were added using the camera icon, which I'm trying to get rid of. I'd like to clean up and delete these images.

I am logged in as administrator, and the admin usergroup has "can delete own topics YES".

Maybe I'm wrong, and this is not an album? Just a summary of images I've posted?

Anything added using the camera icon is a different content type, and these need at least one image. You would need to delete the actual post or topic they are in.

Thank you. I deleted the topics that had the pictures I want to get rid of, leaving 3 valid images that are attachments. But one of the images refuses to go away.

        1. If I enter the Media Section, it says "4 photos".
        2. If I click on the photo, it then displays only 3 photos.
        3. If I click on one of them, it shows a phantom 4th black photo.
        4. If I click on the black square, it displays the photo that was already deleted, and that it is in "Test post in General DIscussions" (which I completely hard deleted).
        5. If I click on "Test post in General Discussions" link, it displays the "Invalid Page URL" message.

Later: it seems to have gone away by itself. I added a new picture in another post, and the "ghost photo" from the non-existent thread somehow has disappeared.
