    facebook Button

I do not understand when it says to place this code where we want the button to be located. I am not so technically proficient to understand. I want it on my forum page to begin with

Step 3: Place this code wherever you want the plugin to appear on your page

What are you actually trying to do here?

If it's embedding a Facebook button, you would probably add it into an ad module. There is no guarantee this will work with vBulletin though.

This is a standard feature I thought. In the settings there is a "facebook option" and at the end of each user profile it says "facebook connected" "no". I am trying to make the facebook connect work. Nothing more.

The built in Facebook Connect facility allows people to register using their Facebook accounts. It will also place a "Publish to Facebook" checkbox under the new message window. No other Facebook functionality is built into the software.

OK. This is what I am referring to. On the fb developer guide it says "place this script on the page where you want the login to appear" and then refers to a plugin script. This is the placement I am talking about. You're very patient. Thank you. I am a user for life. this is the script below. Do I pull up my page manager and include it on my forum page ?

          <div class="fb-login-button" data-max-rows="1" data-size="large" data-button-type="continue_with" data-show-faces="false" data-auto-logout-link="true" data-use-continue-as="true"></div>
