How can I verify my vbulletin to Google Webmaster VB Cloud 5.2.5

I have tried to upload the html file to my root domain, then to the sub-domain where my forum is but nothing works.
    Thanks.

How did you upload to the server if you are using vBCloud?

Anyway, there's another way to do Google ownership verification aside from uploading a file and that can also be done in vBCloud and that is using the meta tag.

Go to AdminCP > Settings > Options > Search Engine Verification. Then select Yes for "Enable Google Ownership Verification" option. Then paste the meta tag code provided by Google Webmaster to the "Google Ownership Verification HTML tag" field.

Hi Gleen, thanks for instruction, have tried but still can-t be verified, my question is, as the forum is using a sub-domain, ex, forum.mysite.com it this what have to be verified on google ? or the primary domain mysite.com.

I have added a new website , forum.mysite, com and keep telling me We weren't able to verify your property

      Thank you

It should be done using forum.domain.com if that's the URL used. Otherwise it will be looking in the wrong place.

When you view the source of the page, do you see the <meta> tag you added in AdminCP? Did you enter the entire <meta> tag provided by Google Webmaster Tools in AdminCP?

          Sorted,
But now after checked the webmaster console, i have found this warning
""Your server returned a 5xx (unreachable) error when we tried to retrieve your robots.txt file""

How this can be sorted? Thanks.

A robots.txt file was added to Cloud last week. It may take time for Google to update.
