Titles of unread threads displayed in bold, want to unbold

Thread titles of unread threads are bold, as seen on this board. Is there are way to make them appear unbolded?

They are bold to indicate they are unread. Once read, they would turn to un-bold.
There's no way to change this behaviour in the default software.
