Today's Posts not bringing up all new posts.

This is still 5.1.3 patch 1 version but I noticed that when you do a today's posts search it shows them not just by latest activity which is what I want but by time and categories. I have a thread that someone posted yesterday that does not show up in the Todays Posts search and was showing up on the New Topics search but on the last page even when it had the newest activity on it. I tried clearing site cache and it had no effect.

So in order to get around this for now I had to create a new Thread/Topic with same title and post a link to the correct thread. Also the other thread would not allow me to put in a prefix when I edited it even though I have done it a bunch before on other threads.

Is this the case even with the new string I entered for you a few days ago?
Do you have a link to the thread that doesn't show up?

        I know why that is.

You asked me to exclude Gallery posts. That post is technically a gallery post, because of the way the poster has attached the image.

There might be a better way of achieving what you want....I'll pick up your ticket again later in the week, need to do a bit of experimenting.

The way round this is not to use the camera icon on the left, but use the attachment icon on the right. It looks like a sheet of paper with a paper clip. This lets you attach an image, and also embed it in the post, but the post is still a "discussion content type". The camera icon creates an "album content type", and the search string I used for your Today's Posts link excludes those.

I probably missed this, but I couldn't find it via search. In vb4 my registered users could see all unread posts. How can I provide this feature in vb5? Shouldn't Latest Activity offer a filter for...
