I have tried all the links available to insert into post and can't get it to work. I can use photobucket by using the direct link they provide fine but not flikr. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug?

One issue with URL links is that they are an "all or nothing" permission. Either you're allowing a usergroup to post any link to any URL at any time in any place in any manner for any purpose...
