Search results questions

Where is the number of topics displayed in search results set? For some reason, my members are now only seeing 4 results per page.

For example, clicking on TODAYS POSTS now only displays 4 results per page for non-administrator members.

Admins and moderators still see 20 per page.

I assume it has to somehow be related to the usergroup, since forum members are seeing a different result than admins and moderators.

This seems to have started after we filtered out some of the forums from the search results:

Are you sure "All" users are having this problem? I joined as BirdOPrey5 and am seeing the normal 20 topics per page on Today's search.

I went in and changed my search string back to the default, so the 20 are showing up now. But, when using the string that filtered out 4 forums from the search (that Mark B gave me) it limited the number of results to 4 per page.

I used the URL Mark posted and was still getting the 20 posts per page. I wuld suggest you check against a newly registered user and see if you get the same issue.

I just logged in as another user and when I do, I see 4 per page with 170 results in the search (see below):




When I log in, using the same browser, but on MY account, I get 34 results in the search and 20 per page:

I just went in an tried clearing the cache and the cookies from my web browser and that seems to have resolved the issue on MY Mac, but I have members who have tried this and it did not work for them.

Is this a user from before you converted to cloud?

Try clearing the system cache under maintenance in the admincp.
