    Converting HTML Content

I am trying to move some of my existing HTML content from a blog into vbCloud as an Article. The conversion from HTML to BBCode is not very elegant. I am having problems getting line breaks <br> to convert properly, especially after images and tables in my HTML.

I guess I wish there was a true HTML editor instead of the BBCode.

Such a conversion is never going to be 100% elegant. Specifically, what are the line breaks actually doing?

Have you tried setting the option "Disable BBCODE" to Yes? What BBCode does is convert the unseen linebreaks to <br> tags. If you have those within your code, it will cause problems. You don't really want to mix HTML and BBCode.

I can give that a try, thanks.

You can see an example of what I am talking about here.

I have turned off BBCode for Articles.
I have tried every combination of Render options
          • I am pasting in HTML code (Advanced Editor/Source)
          • When I un-check Source, it renders correctly
          • When I Preview, it renders correctly
          • But when I Save it, it displays the raw BBCode

AdminCP > Channel Management > Edit your articles categories, and make sure bbcode is set to yes, instead of no in the actual channel.
