Action May Be Required: vB Cloud Email Address

As you may be aware, in an effort to prevent spam many of the free email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) are no longer supporting the delivery of emails on their services which are sent by third-parties. This has been creating problems for a wide range of internet services, including for some vBulletin Cloud customers. When administrator emails are sent from your vBulletin Cloud account to your site's users, these are sent via vBulletin's email service rather than directly from the email service associated with the address you use with your vB Cloud account. If your account address is with a free service, emails sent to your site's users on that service may be blocked, as these free email providers are treating such emails as possible spam.

The best way to avoid this problem is to manage your vB Cloud account using an email address other than one from a free service. Options include an address from your ISP (Verizon, Time Warner, etc.) or an address on any domain for which you have a hosting account. In the meantime, we are also working on technical solutions to further address this situation.

If you have any questions regarding this, our support team will be happy to assist you. You can reach us at [email protected] Thank you for being a vBulletin Cloud customer!
