The focus of my site is a VBulletin

The focus of my site is a VBulletin forum and a few static html pages. I am looking at getting a VPS server and hostgator have good prices. Does anyone use them?

Yeah I recommend looking elsewhere, they are expensive and very low quailty since all they want to do is maximize there profits, what's your budget, and what are you going to be running on it, do you need a control panel, direct admn/cpanel? These things will surely change your budgets depending what your wanting to get.

Cheap price= cheap service. I learned the hard way. Hostgator is good for small business pages, but for forums they really stink...

Not true, hostgator is expensive and you get crappy service most of the time, normally a little research pays off in the long run.
