How does it not work? At this point, you need to think about what you're going to do long term, it won't be too long before PHP 5.2 isn't supported by anyone. Its already been EOL for some time now.Comment

If the database is corrupt you'll probably have to restore from a backup.
Chaning to vB Cloud won't help with existing database, and currently there's no way to import an existing forum into vB Cloud.

5.2 is an old version of php which has long been superceded by 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5. "Most hosts" are certainly NOT "moving to 5.2 with option to use previous version as well".MARK.B
