    URLJET vs ServInt

After much research, it seems that choosing either URLJET or ServInt to host my debate forum will work. So, in the interests of "due diligence" any current thoughts or experiences I should consider before making the final choice?

I'm very new to the vBulletin community, and would appreciate any guidance.

    Regards,
    S.

URLJet and ServInt are slightly different. URLJet is specialist VB host, they offer vb related services as well. URLJet is obviously costlier than normal hosts, but if you don't mind the price / need help in vb issues, they are the best. As a VPS / Dedicated host, ServInt is pretty good.

They are a specialty hosting, but their pricing is out of this word...I mean $100 for 512 ram....
They offer upgrade services, honestly you can upgrade your own vB, if you need assistance just post on these forums and we will be happy to assist you.
You can customize your own vps and most web hosts will be willing to help you optimize it.
Also I'd suggest visiting http://vbtechsupport.com/ many useful informations posted by eva2000 (vB Staff) on how you can optimize your vps/dedicated server.
BTW isn't UrlJet a reseller for WiredTree?

Urljet runs primarily out of what was GSI in Kansas City and is now Layered Tech.

As for the baseline pricing on a vps, When you consider that includes cpanel/whm, litespeed, hourly offsite backups, gb ports and vBsupport...The pricing is comparable to what ServInt and other companies offer.

          Cheers!

They state r1soft backup option is free for shared hosting.
I'd think they will charge extra for VPS for hourly backups.
I still think their pricing is way out of hand.
The forums on your website are somewhat closed to the public and registration is disabled....not good for a company if you ask me.
Only announcement are open to the public?
I am sure their service is great and you get what you pay for.
I am considering a new web host.
Currently looking at wiredtree and knownhost and m3server
I'd love to add URLJet, but with vBSEO 512mb ram with 100+ users is just not going to cut it..

Wiredtree also offers litespeed + 1gb ram + 3000 bandwidth + 24/7 support and 30 minutes or less ticket support and a great managed grove panel.
I can get around vBulletin for the most part, so I don't need anyone to help me other than these forums and vb.org.

If URLJet's pricing was down the earth then I'd be interested in them.

              Please Verify Before Assuming

The pricing you see on the website is the fully optioned price and includes backups.

Some some other questions you may want to ask at other vps host are what share of cpu will you have then ask about connection speed. All URLJet vps's have 1GB connections.

As for the forum; We do have intention of opening it, when we have the manpower to service it properly but for now its primary intention is for URLJet customers.
