You can install up to vBulletin 4.2.0 on GoDaddy's Linux hosting plans. GoDaddy does not support 5.0.X.
When you say it isn't coming up for you, what is the URL you're using and what is the error you're getting.

I actually moved from hostgator to godaddy month's ago, their support was great but godaddy tops them when it comes to cpu/memory usage.
Hostgator almost always complained & doesn't even allow vbseo installs in shared hosting.
Godaddy, I've not had a problem with when it comes to resources or with using vbseo alongside vbulletin.

Watch out for Host Gator, their limit on DB connections is pretty draconian.
GoDaddy is fine, we used them for about a year until we outgrew their shared hosting plan.

Any company that advertises Unlimited Space & Traffic is lying to you. If you can accept being lied to I've seen SiteGround work for others, though personally I would not give them my business.Comment

was going to use GoDaddy because that's where I buy all my Domains, but don't believe their servers are right for a Forum.

It seems like they have upgraded PHP to 5.3 - good...
It seems like they offer MySQL at 5.5 - good... but I created a database and it is 5.0 - bad.
On the phone with GoDaddy support. If they can change my database to 5.5, the minimum requirements will be met. I have used vBulletin 3 on GoDaddy for years with absolutely 0 problems. Perhaps you just have to be an insistent customer? I will report back when I have my site up and running on GoDaddy.Comment

by imkkHas anyone been able to install succesfully on Godaddy hosting? Godaddy says it's vBulletins problem and vBulletin says it's probably Godaddy's problem. It's hard to believe it can't be made to work properly....
