    Hostgator or Godaddy?

Anyone have any advice on this one, or can anyone suggest any alternate hosting companies that allow unlimited hosting of sites, good uptime, and free add ons like wordpress?

There are tons, seriously. Do not host with godaddy or anyone that gives you unlimited bandwidth.

If I had to choose between the two, HostGator... I ran one of my sites there just fine until recently, then moved to URLJet and upgraded to a VPS. Only use GoDaddy for domains or dedicated hosting if any imo.

@hawk2, it is obvious from that info that this site used godaddy to register the domain name, not host the site lol

This thread is about hosting, not domain registration. vB does not use GoDaddy as a host and it is misleading to suggest it does which is why I corrected you.

From experience I agree with this 100%. Cirtex was also a bad experience for me. Now I have a dedicated server through Server Beach and life is good but it's quite a bit more expensive and took a little education. Worth it though and I have enough traffic that advertising revenue is paying for the server plus a little profit already.
