    Dedicated server specification ?

    Hi,

    I am thinking about moving my forum from vps to dedicated server , my forum stats : approx 400 active users , 10 gb data , 5000+ unique visitors.

    and this is dedicated server specification :

    what do you think that will be sufficient for my forum ?

      I personally would not suggest Atom servers... they are not so good for heavy users to be honest. Look into Xeon servers or something likewise. Plus you may look into increasing your RAM.. what is your current RAM usage on the VPS?

        Howmany users (vistors+ reg members) are you having online at peak time? Hard to make a suggestion from the data you provided. It is the peak load that is important, no of registered users makes no difference. My forst impression is that you need not move to a dedi at all. In any case, you know better - if you think your VPS is not going to be enough, move to the next level of VPS or a mid level Dedi that gives you whatever extra power you need. No point in going for over capacity, just upgrade as you grow.
