I think you better double check that link you posted.

About "URLJet.com", I've read a lot of good comments posted about them of late. GlobalGold that Mark talks about look good also, but on seeing what they charge I did think they looked a little on the steep side. But I guess you only get what you pay for if they are good. It should be said they are UK based hosting also.

I still evangelise about GlobalGold. They have hosted my site since march 2009 extremely professionally. They are actual vBulletin specialists which makes a difference. My server isn't optimised for software I don't use.

It has been almost a year since I to migrated from HostGator to URLJet and I have never been happier with a host. Support tickets are dealt with very quickly and they work with me on when I ask on ways to make my site better. The best part, there has only been one very short instance the site was down due URLJet, they fixed the issue swiftly and kept me informed along the way too.

Like what kind of "custom work"? How much did it cost?

I'm also at URLJet and I am very happy to have found them. Top notch service and a great team. They've done a lot of custom work for me on my vBulletin installation and have been very good to work with. They aren't trying to compete at the rock bottom price point, but you get what you pay for.

I am posting this out of thankfulness to Urljet. They contacted me today in the morning and told me about a runaway process that has been affecting my server. I told them to go ahead and kill it. So they did that. It's some tech stuff which I have no absolute clue. Really these guys are the best in my humble opinion and I would recommend them to anyone who's looking to host a vbulletin forum. Love their pro-active server monitoring and fast customer service.

Urljet, you guys are the best.

  • My Review of URLJet.com: My new home after months of hell

I signed up with URLJet recently and am so happy I have found a new home after months of pure hell.....

I originally had my site hosted with HostGator.com. Unfortunately my site outgrew their shared server package and their dedicated servers were too expensive. I then started to search for a new host. For the next four months my site would be plagued by severe downtime, unresponsive hosts, terrible customer service and enough frustration that had me seriously considering shutting down my site for good. My last gasp effort was URLJet.

When I switched my site to their server (my fourth server move in as many months) my site was plagued with SQL errors thanks to incompetent hosting companies tinkering with my site before them. URLJet was able to diagnose all the issues and get us back online in no time. They have also had the best customer service of all the hosting companies I have ever been with. They specialize in hosting vbulletin forums and they are adept at dealing with the issues vbulletin sites have. When I send in a support ticket I never have to worry about waiting too long to get any support. They are always courteous, professional and able to diagnose and fix any issues I have had. My site's uptime has been 100% since I have been with them and I plan on staying with them for a long time.

If you are looking for a hosting company and are not a vbulletin "guru" then I recommend URLJet.com. Their service is top notch, their rates are very fair for the service they provide and you won't be caught off guard with any hidden charges or "fine print" that will have you scrounging to pay your bill at the end of the month. I only wish I would have found them sooner so that I wouldn't of had dealt with months of pure hell with the other incompetent hosts who did nothing but damage my site.
