How much RAM do I need?

I have to move my forum to a different host.
I am looking at all of those offers, unable to choose a proper solution.

The problem is that I don't know how much RAM I need for my forum.

Please can someone help me with this?
My forum has 800 members, 1000 visitors a day, 30 users online, 12000 posts.

I have vbseo and several other mods installed.

How much RAM does it need?

There are other factors that need to be considered beyond those specs... ie. bandwidth. Does your site have a lot of files that users download, etc. If you out grew low cost shared hosting, then nothing more than a basic VPS would be needed. Atleast from that, you can upscale higher if needed without any issue.

I do not use much bandwidth and I don't have lots of files for download.
But I do use Vbseo and Vbcredits and I suspect that they are server intensive.

minimum would be 256MB memory. 384MB would be what I'd start with.

Check webhostingtalk.com there's VPS offers sections with specials sometimes double ram/hdd offers so can get 384-1GB memory at times.

        Personally I'd go with 512MB.

IMO, 1gb should be the minimum to consider. Your desktop/laptop probably has that or more in it.
