Images
When looking for a hosting company you don't just want to choose any one. Because you will be staying with them for a while. And some may want to steal your files for their own. So below are some images to look for on their website.
Hacker Safe.
When someone has this on their website, It means that they get scanned daily. And this also is one of the major things to look for now. Please note that not all good hosting companys have this and this does NOT mean their not safe just they might have more.
Also some other images you should look for are their awards. Most likely if they are good big companies will give them an award for doing a great job. And I haven't seen a lot without an award so this is a good thing.
Credit Card Pictures:
This is one thing you must look for making sure that your credit card you are going to use or paypal is accepted by the Hosting Company. Because if you don't all its doing is just ruining your time for finding a great company.
This is another Hacker safe image you should look for.
Some good solid name Awards you should look for.
This is a huge company that gives away thousands of awards every year any award giving by C|net is a good one for that year. Or any other years given. Meaning this might be a good place to put the tent up.
As their are thousands if not millions of awards given out I will just be keeping these ones until. I or some other person has some good ones to add.
Live Chats
Live chats are a very important thing when figuring out a host to stay with. Live chats allow users/you to talk to the support, billing, pre sales or anything around their website. This also allows fast help. Most hosting companies have Live chats but some are never up and some are up 24/7 but if some are NOT up this again does not mean that they are a bad hosting company. Just means that
A) They don't have enough staff working on the clock to handle 24/7
B) They offer support half e-mail half Live chat 50/50
C) They have to many people contacting them and can only offer so much.
Those are some of the main reasons for that live chat. But there are some other things to look for. Live chat greetings! I have noticed that you do pay for most of the hosting companies so you should be treated nicely? Well that's at least what I would do. Some companies just want you to pay but not help. So before EVER joining a hosting company without even asking them questions. Ask them in a Live chat session and hopefully you will find your answers and stay with them. Also most live chat images are either located in the top right corner or the top left corner. Just a little tip for you guys.

How far their willing to go
Most hosting companies don't setup vbulletin or don't know a lot about it. This is not a company I would suggest going to. But a lot of the companies do how ever have free installation help. BUT I WOULD NEVER GIVE OUT ANY INFO TO THESE COMPANIES UNLESS YOU KNOW THAT THEIR SAFE. But I would ask them first if you do run into a problem in the near future for the hosting (Not the vbulletin) Maybe an error or anything like that will they help you out. That is a very good question to ask before just before joining because they might look professional but they might not be so it's always good to ask questions before choosing your hosting company. Also another question to ask is if they get attacked or hacked will you have protection?
Also many hosting companies do offer vbulletin but make sure they offer what you are looking for. And not just what vbulletin needs.
If anyone else has any questions that I see I will add it to this section.
Section: 3
Are they supported or support vbulletin
Websites such as siteground.com offer great help and free installation when submitting a ticket to them to set everything up. Now this site is trusted by a lot of users for vbulletin. But some sites may say the same thing so Don't always trust what you see. Because they could bring you into something and then be a whole another thing. Some words/pharagraphs to look for.
Quoted by: Siteground.com
"Everything you need for your vBulletin site in one All-Inclusive Web Hosting Package with great features, fast and secure servers, multiple free tools, and high quality customer service!"
That quote is what you should be looking for, Although some hosts lie about what they will do for you, You should always ask users, (Real Users) who host with them. And ask them about their relationships with them. Also take FULL Advantage of the 60 day money back. Because this means you can do a test run with them, Which is always important to do.
Also, It's always good to see how many people they host. (Please note that no site knows the exact amount since they have people always joining so this is a rough estimate and is close enough. Also note that some sites do lie about this just to bring you to their services.)
Section: 4
What kind of cpanel they have.
Knowing what kind of cpanel they have is a great thing to find out. I would say this would be one of the very first things to find out within the hosting company. Because this is what you will be looking at while adding new mods, add ons, skins ect.. So it is also good to find this info out. Most of the hosting companies offer cpanel 11 which is one of the easiest cpanels to use a demo is located below.
This is the only cpanel I will post due to basically everyone using this. Like I said before if it is needed that I find other hosting companies to have different I will post it here.
