    Running vBulletin on Vista

I just set up a test setup of vBulletin on my computer:

    2GB 1066MHZ RAM
    Q6600 CPU

Is there anything wrong with that? It works fine for me but are there any cons of running vBulletin windows?

Not necessarily, though Linux is known for it's reliability which is vastly superior in most cases to Windows based systems. Also, setting it up on your home computer might not be that smart, since you will probably do other work on it and slow it down, plus your connection might be pretty slow and if you don't have a static IP it can be pretty annoying to set up DNS.

I have a static IP and 40 / 40 connection. I will only be listening to music, browsing and doing webmaster things. Is that alright? or will I need 2x more RAM?

Since you still have a small time forum it should be ok.
