    Provider advice need.

My board has exploded during the last 2 weeks and I need advice on a solid provider. ASO already booted me and my current host is barely holding up.

    Current board details
    Space: 250 meg
    New members a day: 150
    Active users at anytime: 700
    Bandwidth: 20gig/week
    Posts: 24K

I also don't have experience with dedicated servers nor the time. I'm paying $45 at my current provider, but my bandwidth limit is already running out so I know I'll need to pay more but I'm not sure how much...

    Thank you for any help.

A few dedicated hosting solutions could be softlayer.com or staminus.net

Apparently if you keep the server to busy you get shut down because it interrupts other sites on the server, even though I was within all of my package limits. I've had great success with them with smaller sites, but not bigger ones. I know ASO is well respected and have great service, for smaller sites, but not bigger sites unless you have +/- $300 for a dedicated server with them.

700 active users is way too much for shared hosting. Check out: www.softlayer.com for dedicated.

Wow, well done! Can I ask how you managed to get a smallish board expanding so fast?

Try Hostww.Net. They're fantastic and, I'm sure, can more than handle your traffic.

Have a look at WebHostingTalk and although I agree a dedicated server is probably going to be necesary, it may be possible to run on a decent VPS and thats likely to be quite a bit less expensive.
