This may be a really stupid question but.....(Hosting Question)

I am interested in purchasing a vbulletin forum but I currently dont have a site of my own to host it.

What are my options if I just want a URL that points to my forum?

I plan on this forum being quite large with lots of bells and whistles.

Sorry if this is a terribly niave question.

I have tons of experience with vbulletin and the admin panel but not with hosting at all.

    Thanks in advance.

im new to vbulletin but i do know that vbulletin is not a hosting solution as much as it would be great if they were. youll need to find a host that is compatible with vbulletin. a link to customer testimonials of hosts is pinned at the top of this forum. check it out and see which one you like.

If you're looking to host a new vBulletin community, basically what you need to look for is a host that supports PHP & MySQL, from there you should be set. Start with a small shared hosting plan from a host that will allow you to upgrade as your website grows.

Average shared hosting runs from $5 to $10 per month for a decent sized hosting plan that will suit the needs of most all communities.
