I'm not a huge fan of plesk, and I know a few people who have had some problems with it.

Not a huge fan of godaddy as a hosting provider in general.

remember, virtual dedicated is another fancy name for shared hosting.

I just moved a client off of there. Their boards would not run right.

        GoDaddy's hosting is definitely sub-par.

I am a godaddy reseller, and I also re-sell WildWest accounts. I have a bunch of money invested in Godaddy. That being said, I would never offer godaddy hosting accounts. Certainly not for anybody that actually wanted to run any mysql/php scripts.

GoDaddy for domains. Yes. Hosting of any sort. No. You don't go to quicklube for body work do you?

As above, I would stick with GoDaddy for domain names, quite simply, it's what they are best at. I've never personally hosted with them, so to speak, though I'm a firm believer in seperate purchases between hosting and domains; buy one from one business your domain, the other will provide your hosting.
