Location question on {imagesfolder}

Hi I was just curious, where do the variables

{imagesfolder}
{contenttablewidth}

etc get defined?

not in the actual control panel I mean where do they get defined in the actual php script, is there only one php file that does it? if so what file is it

{imagesfolder} and {contenttablewidth} are replacements

ok but what are they replaced with WHERE is this defined? for instance {imagesfolder} has to mean something it has to have some sort of value

You define replacements in the ACP

ACP -> Replacements -> Modify -> [expand list] -> {a replacement} -> [edit]

The values are stored in the 'replacement' table of your db.
