phpAdsNew on a portal

First off, I did ask this over on the phpportals forum ... but nobody ever replies over there. So I thought I'd ask here.

Question is has anybody been able to get phpAdsNew working with both vBulletin and phpportal? I got it working with the forum no problem, but the portal is a different story. Can't figure out where I need my includes, what invocation mode to use, etc.

Basically, if anybody has dont this I would REALLY appreciate some help!

I was making it a lot more difficult than it needed to be. All I did was use the combined remote invocation and paste that code into the portal header template ... worked fine. Duh!
