Building a vBulletin page for my site

Hi all, I'm building a vbulletin page, similar to that found in admincp.

Basically, what I need this page to do, is: echo latest vBulletin version and the latest feed.

This has to be done autonomously.

So, for the latest feed, using newsproxy.php in admincp folder, I've got;

header('Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8');
if ($result = fetch_file_via_socket('http://version.vbulletin.com/news.xml', array('type' => '')))
{ 
 echo $result['body'];
}
else
{
 echo 'Error';
} 

Pretty simple. Right. Now for the versioning. I've got a few bits to help me, all under http://version.vbulletin.com:

• version.js
• versioncheck.js
• news.xml (for above)

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to echo the latest version, so how do I do it?

Just use Javascript.

Relatively simple Javascript.

Unfortunately that's about as far as my Javascript knowledge goes.
