    Title and alt?

I've always known of the alt attribute, used for many thing, but in the vBulletin coding the "title" attribute seems to perform the same action. What are the differences? Which do you prefer and why?

alt is used to show an alternative text for images. Imagine you have a gallery and some pictures are not showing up. With alt you could add a text wich describes the image so that someone knows what the picture shows

title is used to describe a link. You can use title to describe the link. A link to the main page called 'home' could have the title 'go the the main page'.

Some browsers show the alternate text when you hover an image but some don't so you should use title if you want a describing text that pops up when you hover a link or an image
    That's the end of that!
