Pedro, the last I heard the fscking United States is the biggest pirate in the world. They disregard ALL copyrights of music artists/record companies and steal the art that musicians sweat their hearts and souls to write and produce. They do it even though the owners of that music strongly demand that they not do it. But according to American citizens, it's good for the record companies, so they have no choice but to accept this form of mass thuggery.
...then they call it Napster...
Remember, next time before you point your fingers at others, practice first what they teach in grade school:
Do unto others...Last edited by Skeptical; Sat 24 Feb '01, 2:46pm.Well, there it is.

I think this new GUI isn't the best microsoft has ever used, looks to kid like.. I think when this comes out, unless they clean it up a little, ill stick with windows 2g.Comment

Well, I'm really sorry about that last post, but pirating just ruins everyone's life (the people who pay for it, anyway). I mean, maybe running a pirated Windows at home isn't so bad, but c'mon, running a pirated vB and letting the entire world know about it? That's just mental.
As a side note - is there a chinese > english translator in existence?Last edited by pedro_gb; Sun 25 Feb '01, 3:43am.Comment

I'd like to apologize for my last post also. It wasn't meant to be a demeaning attack. Actually I'm just too caught up in the Napster fight (yes I'm against Napster). One of my arguments has always been that if we let it continue, then we really have no grounds for anger when other countries pirate our stuff. So when I saw your post Pedro, I immediately jumped on it.Well, there it is.

Looks like you don't believe in capitalism. You think money is evil. Have you read up on Karl Marx's books? Sounds like you believe in socialism and not capitalism.
If you want to argue, please use good sound arguments, and not stuff like "you know nothing about napster". Doing such only makes me think you can't win logistically, so you must resort to non-sensical insults.Last edited by Skeptical; Sun 25 Feb '01, 7:37pm.Well, there it is.

Napster is not forcing users to download copyrighted music.
here read my reply from a thread like this already:
And my reply to your last post is:
How can you compair these unrealistic "images" to make a point?
"do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
Wow that quote just does nothing for me when it comes to music, come up with another quote that actually makes sence on this issue.Comment

XP looks like a kids toy! I really hope somebody out there comes out with a easy to install, or pre-installed GUI linux OS, with commonly used pre-installed software (email, web browser, text editor, games, ect). Id bet that 90% of Windows users dont even know they have a choice of what OS they can use. and if they knew they had a choice, 90% of the people would stick with Windows beacouse its simple to use. they dont care if it crashes atleast once a week, they dont care that it has all kinds of memory leaks. Its easy to use, so they use it... Sadly, 95% of all software, is made for teh windows OS, i really hope this changes in the near future. We need to educate the masses that they have a choice.
If Dell & Other computer retailers started to offer computers with a GUI Linix distro pre installed with star office, for $200 cheaper then the same computer with XP and MS-Office, id bet that alot more people would make software for linux, and MS would have the NEED to make better software, a win-win situation for everyone.
P.S. Im also against napster, i have only downloaded a handfull of songs, i already own the CD;s to all teh songs i have downloaded... Once napster comes a pay-per-use program, and the artists are getting paid there fair share, i may use it more often....Comment
