How often is this forum backed up?
Is it done through cron job or just manually?

It would be a security risk to release that info..

Are you asking how often a forum should be backed up?

Its updated on a random clock cycle based on the mating habits of the common sea snail and the height of the tide at that time. When the update happens we etch the contents of the database into Kier's neural pathways so the data is safe. Luckily so far we haven't performed an update while he was driving because they tend to have him freak out.

Backing something this large with a cron everyday would kill a server.. Just throwing that info out there..

Probably backed up daily and backed up via a RAID Array (real-time).

It would? Should only take a few minutes or so to simply copy and gzip the database files up.

What do you use to etch it into Kier's neural pathways? I need some of that...

I would be surprised if this site didn't have automatic mirroring.
