I tend to stick with only what I need to get by with, which is just bare minimums (IMO):

    - EditPlus
    - Photoshop 7
    - Putty SSH
    - SSH/FTP Tool @ SSH.com*

    * It's free and allows web-based shell access (like that of FTP) and SSH in one, so you can switch from one to the other. I use putty when I can't be bothered to change the colors with the SSH tool .

When I do development on vBulletin I use Photoshop, a simple text editor (only if I do php changes), and the template system.

For programming I use the following:

          -Umbrello
          -Visual Studio .NET
          -KDevelop
          -Kvivo
          -BitKeeper

I *HATE* anything other than Notepad. I've been using Crimson Editor again(I used to use it exclusively years ago) and I just can't stand it. I have no idea why... I'd love to love the syntax coloring, the tabs, how it handles indentation, etc... but I guess I am too set in my ways to change.

I use Photoshop/Image Ready for all my image editing needs. With my love for notepad, it makes me wonder why I don't prefer MS Paint, lol!

Just out of curiosity, why not? 5.2 is what I'm still using... but why is 5.5 not worth it?

I love Crimson, but I turn off most of the features except line numbering, syntax coding and tabbed interface...everything else is crap

                So...why Homesite of Dreamweaver?

I use FileZilla as an FTP client and I use Araneae to do my editing.

Probably referring to Coca-Cola, the soft drink beverage trying to take over the world. Horrible stuff in my opinion but many people must like it.
