    Susan, out of possibly ignorant Curiosity, why did you put the <pre> tags around the AOL URL? Does that make it more AOL-Compatible?

      I think most wouldn't get past the - Thankyou for registering part and then lose interest. Maybe they think its just a mail to thank them for dropping by.

      I have seen similar things where sites put "ACTION REQUIRED" in the subject header.

        Jim, the <pre> tags saves the preformatted text in my mail program so that the <a href=yaddayaddayadd.html> doesn't become a link thus making it NOT a link for AOL people. It worked in my email and it works so far on the boards, so I didn't mess with what worked.
